Some good news - Reviving the Campaign for English Independence

Some good news to share.

The Campaign for English Independence (CEI) will be revived after a pause of some months and we hope will now continue until English Independence is achieved.   The key date at present will be 2015 on the assumption that the people of Scotland show they have the confidence and patriotism to wish to govern themselves.  The break-up of the British Union could then take place very quickly.

A few initial comments before the serious work of updating the CEI website and providing expert and topical commentary begins in earnest.

It should now be apparent to all that the recent political coverage on the Scottish Independence referendum should have made obvious to all that the future of the Union us a fundamental and pressing issue, where all citizens should consider and be able to vote on.

The British political parties whose existence is threatened by the break-up of the Union have closed ranks and sought to vilify the SNP and Alex Salmond.   Such an approach is just as likely to bring additional support to the independence campaigns in Scotland, Wales and England.

The CEI website will follow these developments in the Scottish Independence referendum issue and in the gathering campaign for English and Welsh Independence.  We will seek to distinguish between comment from reporting in our coverage.

The CEI will require more resources and so we ask for offers of help in marketing, IT, writing and cash.

So please if you wish to assist the Campaign get in touch by emailing: YestoEI@live.co.uk
